✨ Studies have shown that taking deep breaths during stressful situations can reset your brain.
It can also help to:
❇ Reduce your blood pressure
❇ Help reduce cortisol in your blood stream
❇ Balance oxygen and carbon dioxide
❇ And increase feelings of physical wellbeing
When we feel anxious, our tendency is to take short, shallow breaths. Reminding yourself to focus on each breath when feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stressed can help with resetting these feelings. Remember, they will pass.
So today, I want to take the time to remind each of you, B R E A T H E. It will work out. The stress will pass. The snow will melt. The rain will stop.
