Dallas, we need to talk about โ€œCoastal Italian.โ€

Lately, Iโ€™ve seen several new restaurants around Dallas embracing the Coastal Italian concept. And as an Italian winemaker, I love seeing Italian coastal cuisine getting attention.

But hereโ€™s the problemโ€ฆ

Calling something Coastal Italian doesn't make it Coastal Italian.

Beautiful dรฉcor, a catchy name, and a clever marketing strategy aren't enough. To me, Coastal Italian should come from the real places, real ingredients, real traditionsโ€”and, of course, real wines of Italyโ€™s coast.
