This includes social media, websites and newsletters. I also offer communications and marketing consulting. What does working off-site mean to you? For me, freedom. The freedom to work from my home office or anywhere else in the world with internet service is a gift. Recently, I was on a 10-day, once in a lifetime road-trip with a cousin through parts of Canada and Maine. During that time, I was a
ble to keep a clients’ social media accounts updated and responsive. Two weeks later, I was able to take a conference call from the passenger seat while my boyfriend drove us home from Boston after (unsuccessfully) cheering on my favorite college football team. Could I have taken those two trips, almost back-to-back while working in a traditional office environment? It would have used up 13 vacation days in less than a month. How many office jobs would have allowed that? Plus, how many days would I have had left for the year? Instead, working “off-site” allowed me to have flexibility while continuing to serve my clients and be responsive to their needs. The freedom to work with accounts that I enjoy, from any location, is a privilege.
