The quality of a Tribal partnership is often decided before the first proposal is ever shown.
A Native Nation is a sovereign government with its own leadership, priorities, process, and timing. Respect begins with doing the work before outreach, listening without assuming, and being ready to change direction when an idea does not fit.
Good partners do not ask a Nation to make a prepared pitch fit. They ask what the Nation is trying to accomplish and whether they can contribute useful, reciprocal value.
That is the difference between approaching with a transaction and entering with respect.
