Meetings with potential clients consistently affirm one key insight: if your business offers a genuine solution to a pressing need, want, or desire.

Any challenges you face likely stem from systemic, branding, or marketing issues.

Let me break this down:

Systemic issues = Your internal operations are broken. Think: inconsistent client experience, no clear processes, you’re the bottleneck in every decision, or you’re winging it instead of working from frameworks. The business can’t scale because it only works when YOU show up.

Branding issues = The market doesn’t understand who you are or why they should choose you. Your messaging is vague, your visual identity is inconsistent, or you sound like everyone else. You’re not positioned as the obvious choice for your ideal client.

They think it’s a logo. A color palette. A catchy tagline.

Those are brand elements, but they’re not your brand.

Your brand is the story of your business, the promise you make, the perception people hold, and the position you occupy in your market before you ever deliver a service.

I talk to service providers every week who tell me the same story:

"I've tried posting more on social media."

Here's what's actually happening:

I thought my failed “businesses” meant I should just stick to teaching. Wrong.

The truth? I didn’t have businesses—I had side hustles. And I spent a decade building everyone else’s empires while treating mine like hobbies.

Six ventures. Two master’s degrees. All the credentials to hide behind when things didn’t work.

But the real issue wasn’t that entrepreneurship wasn’t for me. It was that I never actually committed. I never built systems. I never showed up like the CEO I claimed to be.
