It’s not about fame, it’s about impact!

I get the opportunity to transform the lives of young people. I get to motivate, push and help their parents molded them into the people they will become. Some of the lessons I teach, they will carry with them for a lifetime.

- I remind them that they can do whatever they put their minds to
- I tell them they have no limits except the ones they put on themselves
- I remind them to speak up for themselves when they are uncomfortable but to be respectful while doing so
- I remind them to have integrity
- I tell them to give it their all and watch God come through every time.

I am simply a vessel that God uses to build these young people and leave a lasting impression.

Caiden Thomas Reed won Mr. Jean Ribault 2nd runner up! I have had the privilege of working with you for only 4 short months. In that time you have shown me that your “why” was strong and would make you a strong contender. Your talent, debonair and smile won many hearts.

Thank you to Mr and Mrs. Reed for trusting me this Pageant season with your son.

To the Tim Oberry, who always answers the clarion call when I have a contestant who is a singer. I cannot and will not do it without you.

To my friends and brothers Meachum and Von Hill who answered when I called about musical equipment that would help Caiden you all gave me your expertise and honest opinions. Thank you, VJ for teaching Caiden how to play the song “love”.

Anthony Mincey I want to thank you for the confidence that you instilled in Caiden. 

To Alethia alterations who provided same day service for Caidens suit, you are the real MVP and we thank you

Erica McKenzie Blunt it was truly my pleasure to coach you this pageant season. You were graceful, poised and confident even in your errors. I’ve watched you cry and recover well many times, this is not different. Show me how you recover!

To Eric and Tamyra Blunt you have raised a beautiful, outgoing, and talented daughter. Thank you for trusting me with one of your precious gifts and for always following my lead.

To Gena (BKA Coach G) you were your sister’s biggest supporter and sometimes even harder on her than I was. But the fact that she always wanted you to be part of our practices shows how much she trusts you. Continue to be a safe space for your sister.

To Daijah and Siteria thank you for answering the call to teach Erica her routine and stage posing. Your help was invaluable.

To Sherice thank you for your styling expertise on her theme/introduction attire — you helped her shine even brighter.

To my cousin Ieshia thank you for always allowing us to use your studio for practices whenever we needed it.

Thank you to my mock interview panel Meachum, Sierra, Nia, and Shakeria your time and wisdom made a difference.

To my family thank you for holding me up and showing me grace when I was missing because of practices and other obligations.

And last but certainly not least, I want to thank God for every gift and ability He has given me, which allows me to pour into these young people.

I remember the very first time I met you and your parents during our consultation the latter part of last year. I asked you “Why did you want to compete in this pageant?” I remember saying, “if this is for your mom, dad or anyone outside you, I can’t work with you.” You looked at me and with the most repectful tone said, “I am challenging myself to do something outside of my comfort zone to make a difference.” That was all I needed to hear and my answer was YES! From that point we have been joined at the hip. You practiced hard and no matter how tired you were when I asked you to give me more, you did just that. You never let yourself off the hook even when I would say you were fine, you asked can we do it again. You kept your word to yourself, your family and me when you completed this process because BABY the difference has been made! WE FINISHED STRONG

Joanna you are EVERYTHING and you can do anything you put your mind to. It was my pleasure to serve as your coach and now officially as your aunt. (Her mom and aunts said I am an honorary member)

Keep your word and continue to make a difference. ❤️
