FREE SMALL BUSINESS FORUM Thursday 10/22 8:30 AM via Zoom.
This month we have lined up a fresh, new entrepreneur to talk to our group about opening her own business… AT THE AGE OF 15! ! !

I am excited to introduce to you Shelby Mell, who will share her enthusiasm and her drive to run her own business – Mellby’s Chill Zone. Of her first business endeavor, she says: "Most kids, it's hard for them to get out of bed, let alone open a business, at my age," "This is probably my favorite thing I've ever done,"

I hope that this presentation will offer two opportunities:
1) To remind us all of the excitement of a new business venture and why we chose the entrepreneurial path for ourselves, and
2) To open the opportunity for us, as a community, to offer advice and help for Shelby as she now embarks on her new business.

I hope that you will join us via Zoom on Thursday 10/22 at 8:30am. https://zoom.us/j/94353567344?pwd=blRCTmhpb2RMK0U5SFYyQjdzUUkvUT09

Mid-MO BIG presents DR. LAUREL KRAMER, SSM Health Medical Group outpatient psychologist.

Dr. Kramer will speak about the emotional coping in these trying times and pressures of the COVID environment. She writes:

"Twelve weeks have passed since the COVID-19 pandemic changed our daily lives in significant ways.

Like you, I am feeling the limits of my mental health. Day to day, my emotions vary between feeling irritable,
antsy, anxious, depressed and grateful. I long for the day when I can feel safe and calm again. We are using our
best coping skills, yet there is more ahead as we worry about job security, uncertain finances and the
possibility of catching the virus.

These past weeks tell us two things: We have less control over our lives than we believed; and, how easily our
emotional wellness can be frayed and tattered. It is now time to find things we truly have control over and
build skills to strengthen our mental wellness as we face an uncertain future.

Keeping a positive attitude even in the most challenging situations is key."

Attend the Mid-MO BIG meeting to hear more from Dr. Kramer..

Virtual background fun... my ADHD kicked in during a recent meeting...🤪😎

So, I was a panelist on a Zoom meeting... and tried this virtual background!

COVID-19 has driven many meetings online. The new virtual environment has some interesting new virtual tools... and some that folks will tend to misuse.

Post a pic of the worst virtual background you've created or have seen during a recent virtual meeting.

Mid-MO BIG presents Kayla Wilbers: Selling During a Crisis
Join us Thursday 4/23 8:30am!

For the last few weeks, most of us have been working from home attempting to avoid negativity and do our best at our jobs. If you’re in a sales roll this may be particularly difficult for you. You feel guilty about bothering people when their businesses might be in a state of crisis. You’re concerned about what people might think if you call and try to sell something during this time. Join me to discuss these feelings and emotions and deep dive into the emotions of others to propel us to success during and after this time of crisis.

We are going virtual for this meeting, thanks to Kayla, Huber & Associates and Zoom:

Please join my meeting from your computer, tablet or smartphone.
