It’s really strange to think about now, because when I started this business it was a refuge from corporate and in-office days. I wanted to keep my people time to a minimum and focus on the part I am best at, which is the work itself. So my first clients sent me their content, I edited and curated it, and it worked, but it also kept me at arm’s length from everyone I was building for.
About a year ago I realized that never going to the client was holding the whole business back (and leaving an entire revenue stream sitting there untouched). So I started offering in-person content days. I have been a content creator for years, but bringing someone else’s vision to life sparked a kind of creativity and purpose I did not know was available to me.
And that working from home 24/7 I wanted so badly? About six months in it went stale. There is only so long you can sit in an apartment talking to people through a screen before you get a bit stir crazy. Having a reason to get dressed, put on a little makeup, and be creative in person has meant more to me than I expected, mostly because of the people I have gotten to meet along the way.
Everything has led to The Content Lab, my first in-studio content day, co-hosted with Nev Photography | NJ Brand Photographer on October 4th. Hour long sessions for business owners in need of ready-to-post brand photos and social content. If you’ve been thinking about booking a content day, this is the place to start. DM me or click the link in bio for details! 🫶🏾
