Aldo Leopold wrote “Conservation Economics” in 1934.

His writings and insights ring just as true today as they did 88 years ago. He didn’t marginalize public land nor public trust, but instead recognized the need for programs well beyond altruistic and government acquisition . . . Today, Florida leads the way nationally in working with private landowners, but we must continue to do more, as the enemy of these places is the bulldozer and the dollar.
