I am welcoming Evan McDade as a former West Virginia native and former collegiate baseball player at Fairmont State University. I played four seasons for the Fighting Falcons from 2022–2025 as a right-handed pitcher, making 44 appearances during my college career.
I also competed in summer collegiate baseball, including time with the Princeton WhistlePigs, Staunton Braves, and Marion Swamp Foxes. During my time in Staunton, I gained valuable experience competing in the Valley Baseball League against talented college players from across the country. My summer baseball experience helped me continue developing as a pitcher while competing in a high-level environment.
A big part of my journey to college baseball was Tom Davis, who helped me through the recruiting process and played an important role in helping me get recruited. Having someone in my corner who understood recruiting and could help me get my name in front of the right people showed me how valuable the right guidance and connections can be for a high school athlete. His impact on my own recruiting journey is one of the reasons I want to help other athletes find those same opportunities.
One of the biggest highlights of my Fairmont State career came during my senior season when I earned the win over Frostburg State in the 2025 MEC Tournament, helping Fairmont State advance to the conference championship.
After finishing my playing career, I’m taking what I learned from high school, college, and summer baseball into high school sports recruiting. Having experienced the recruiting process myself, I understand how difficult it can be for athletes to get noticed and find the right opportunity. I want to use my experience to help athletes get their names out there, understand the recruiting process, connect with college programs, and find opportunities to continue their athletic careers at the next level.
