When was the last time you fell deeply in love with you?
Not the version of you that performs.
Not the version that proves.
Not the version that keeps giving until there is nothing left.
You.
So many of us learned to recognize love by how someone else made us feel.
When they chose us, we felt chosen.
When they wanted us, we felt desirable.
When they stayed, we felt worthy.
And when they left?
Sometimes they took our sense of worth with them.
But healing taught me something I wish I had understood much earlier:
Someone else’s ability to love you was never the measure of your lovability.
There is a love that does not have to be chased, earned, performed for, or begged to stay.
Your own.
Maybe it is time to meet yourself with fresh eyes.
Court yourself.
Become curious about yourself.
Learn what makes your soul exhale.
Forgive yourself.
Delight in yourself.
Choose yourself.
Have the love affair.
Because their love was never meant to replace your own.
You are your best medicine.™
