💜 At Epaga Home Care, we believe the way we care for others matters just as much as the care we provide. Colossians 3:12 reminds us to intentionally choose compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience in the way we show up for others.
“Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” — Colossians 3:12 (NIV)
In caregiving, this can look like:
• Showing compassion when someone is having a difficult day.
• Choosing kindness in both our words and our actions.
• Serving with humility and putting another person’s needs first.
• Responding with gentleness, even in challenging moments.
• Giving others the patience, time and grace they deserve.
Caregiving is about more than completing a list of tasks. It’s about how we make someone feel while we’re doing them. A gentle response. A patient conversation. A kind word. A moment of understanding. These small choices can help someone feel safe, respected and truly cared for.
💜 Lead with compassion.
💜 Choose kindness.
💜 Serve with humility.
💜 Respond with gentleness.
💜 Practice patience.
As you care for others this week, remember that these qualities aren’t simply things we feel—they’re things we choose to “put on” each day. May compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience be visible in the way we serve and love the people God has placed in our care. ✨
