Part of our emergency response consulting is helping churches and schools prepare for weather related emergencies, such as heat stoke, dehydration, injuries during evacuations etc.

Does this look like the origin story of your organization’s CPR/first aid instructor?

This is the story of many instructors starting out and it provides limited resources for the instructor to empower their organization to manage emergencies. That is why we offer our Instructor Development service. Our Red Cross and American Heart Association instructor trainers provide continual mentoring, consulting and professional development for instructors, empowering them to protect their organizations, not only managing emergencies but advocating for safety to prevent emergencies.

It is the second day of October and so far this month, we have trained 43 people to rescue an adult experiencing cardiac arrest, life threatening bleeding, opioid overdose and other emergencies.

Who wants to be the next to learn how to save lives? 🧐

When we mentor a first aid instructor within your company, they’re not just preparing employees and facilities for emergencies.

We’re also building them into an advocate for safety at large. Recognizing risks and helping address them before they escalate into emergencies.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

HF has been built around emergency preparedness but this is something our founders Andrew and Mary Harrison, have wanted to help in, from the beginning.
As this business evolves, we aim to do more for freedom and justice.
Right now, we offer self defense training and workplace safety services.
Employers should recognize how domestic violence can affect both employee wellbeing and workplace safety.

For someone experiencing domestic violence, the impact can follow them into the workplace. Fear, stress, sleep disruption, financial problems, isolation, and ongoing harassment can all affect someone’s ability to feel safe and function at work.

And sometimes, the person causing the abuse may bring the threat into the workplace:

• Showing up at the workplace
• Repeated calls, texts, emails, or social-media harassment
• Stalking an employee’s commute or routine
• Trying to obtain their schedule, location, or contact information
• Threatening the employee or their coworkers
• Confrontations in parking lots or around the workplace
• Escalating behavior that creates a direct safety concern

Making support for the employee, support for the company.
