This is an offer to work with me to solve a business or marketing problem together.
What is a visual problem solver?
If you're in business you may have already realized that what you really do is solve problems.
Those problems don't exist in a vacuum...
Inadvertently you or your client may introduce a new influence when you're solving for a symptom, not the root cause.
A fly in the ointment.
This is why the best practice 5 WHY root cause analysis is important to get below the surface to identify and see what's creating the symptoms.
You need to understand the problem at a deep level, or your solution will be a bandaid and temporary at best or insert WORSE problems into your process.
In the past 15 years, I've experienced multiple different work environments and careers.
But it was only recently, when finishing up a Full Stack Software Developer Bootcamp, that I came to the realization that I have a genius for learning visually.
Here's what I mean by that:
- Watching someone else take the action.
- Copying that action, seeing myself do it.
- Laying out the steps in the process in my mind.
- In detail visualizing the process and making adjustments.
Yes, there is an element of learning by doing, feeling, muscle memory, however, the visual part is the key!
I had been using this skill unconsciously for all this time without recognizing the power and how to leverage that talent.
When I was learning to be a prep cook, watching the Chef and observing what they did, not just what they said, I connected so many intangibles through observation and contextual cues.
When I was managing a team in the Financial Fraud Contact Center, providing timely coaching and feedback, being proactive to set goals, and train necessary skills to adapt to changes that were on the way, I was able to see from the Point Of View of the customers and my staff.
What does it mean to be a visual problem solver?
It's like looking at the world around you, and seeing the context and connections, how they fit together.
Opening up a new interface, the graphics displayed on the screen and KNOWING with confidence, that you can learn and figure this out easily.
Reviewing your financial statements and business processes, and seeing a story laid out. Knowing the cast of characters, the plot, and the way to help adjust and write a better story, without anxiety or feeling lost.
It's not magic.
It's learning to see and narrate to yourself the complex connections so it's simple and intelligible.
When you can do this for yourself, you can also do this for others.
I've put together several tools and frameworks that have helped multiple clients get clarity. I'm still testing these out carefully because of the impact.
