If you’ve ever wondered what building a business really looks like, it’s this.

Building a business doesn’t always look like a perfectly styled desk and an endless cup of coffee. Sometimes it looks like squeezing in 20 minutes from a parked car between appointments, planning the week, answering emails, and crossing a few more things off the list.

Glamorous? Not exactly.

Productive? Absolutely.

Because consistency isn’t about having the perfect workspace—it’s about showing up anyway.

This is one of the questions I hear most often, and the answer might surprise you.

The truth is, it’s not about choosing one instead of the other.

A bookkeeper keeps your financial records accurate and organized throughout the year. An accountant uses those records to help with taxes, planning, and compliance. They work together to support your business.

Think of your bookkeeper as the one who keeps your financial foundation strong, and your accountant as the one who helps you build on it.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is, “I’ll hire a bookkeeper when I can afford one.”

But sometimes the better question is…

Can you afford not to?

If you’re spending evenings sorting receipts, second-guessing your numbers, avoiding your bookkeeping, or making business decisions based on your bank balance, there’s a cost to that too.

Hiring a bookkeeper isn’t just about saving time (although that’s a huge benefit). It’s about having confidence in your numbers so you can focus on running your business instead of constantly worrying about it.

There are a lot of things that make me me.

I’m a wife.
I’m a mama.
I’m expecting a little boy this fall.
I’m someone who loves slow mornings with coffee, family time, and finding joy in the little moments that often go unnoticed.

And somewhere in between all of that… I’m building a business I’m incredibly proud of.

This season of life is busy, a little chaotic at times, and far from perfect. But it’s also taught me that the things worth building rarely are.

My family is my greatest blessing and the reason behind so many of the decisions I make. They’re the reminder of why I keep showing up, why I continue learning, and why creating a business with heart matters so much to me.

Thank you for being here, whether you’ve been following since day one or just recently found my little corner of the internet. It truly means more than you know.

Some of my best work happens with a good cup of coffee, a notebook nearby, and a little background noise.

One thing I’ve been thinking about lately is how often business owners carry everything themselves.

The bookkeeping.
The emails.
The invoices.
The marketing.
The client work.

At some point, something has to give.

My goal has never been to just “do bookkeeping.” It’s to give business owners one less thing to think about so they can spend more time doing the work they actually enjoy.

So while I’m here planning, creating, and building systems for future clients, I’m curious…
