In light of the pandemic, many are panicked. Many are scrambling trying to figure out how school and office closings are going to impact our lives over the next few weeks.
I'd like to take a moment to emphasize THE NEED FOR GRACE.
Give those around you the benefit of the doubt. Over-communicate with your team, especially if you've not previously worked with them in a remote, virtual environment. Be flexible when someone isn't quite as prompt to respond as normal. Kids (like my own) may be home from school or continuing school in an e-learning environment until they are released to return to school as normal. Your team may be sharing a home office space with their spouse. These new working arrangements may not be ideal but necessary.
What does this mean? These conditions are ripe for GRACE.
We need to give grace to each other, our spouses, our kids, our leaders, our co-workers, our clients, our contractors, our partners, everyone.
Let your default be GRACE.
How do you want to look back on this time? I’d suggest, this could be a time where we all can be known by the GRACE we extend to others... and the GRACE that was extended to you.
However, in the meantime, if you need virtual support, let me know how I can best support you.
