In light of the pandemic, many are panicked. Many are scrambling trying to figure out how school and office closings are going to impact our lives over the next few weeks.

I'd like to take a moment to emphasize THE NEED FOR GRACE.

Give those around you the benefit of the doubt. Over-communicate with your team, especially if you've not previously worked with them in a remote, virtual environment. Be flexible when someone isn't quite as prompt to respond as normal. Kids (like my own) may be home from school or continuing school in an e-learning environment until they are released to return to school as normal. Your team may be sharing a home office space with their spouse. These new working arrangements may not be ideal but necessary.

What does this mean? These conditions are ripe for GRACE.

We need to give grace to each other, our spouses, our kids, our leaders, our co-workers, our clients, our contractors, our partners, everyone.

Let your default be GRACE.

How do you want to look back on this time? I’d suggest, this could be a time where we all can be known by the GRACE we extend to others... and the GRACE that was extended to you.

However, in the meantime, if you need virtual support, let me know how I can best support you.

A lot can happen in a decade.

Ten years ago, I had only ever worked in a traditional 9 to 5 job.

I was a diligent and hard worker who out produced many of my colleagues.

I became known as a valued-resource and trusted employee.

BUT I was lacking the I desired. I knew there had to be more.

In May 2012, through the support of my husband and with a newborn baby in my arms, I gained the confidence to take that first step.

I made mistakes, but took responsibility for what went wrong and made it right. I learned from my successes and my failures.

I implemented the strategy. I learned new skills and put them into practice. I invested in myself. I pivoted. I took on increasing responsibility, and have seen the results pay off tenfold. I celebrate the wins and have mourned some tremendous losses.

I do not or pursue . I run my business at my own pace.

I live a around what I've placed as a top priority. I strive to be more present in each of my roles. I pursue and aim to extend grace to those around me.

Yes, a lot CAN happen in a decade, but it requires taking one small action day after day, year after year.

I hope today is one you can build on.

P.S. If you are looking for someone to help take some things off your plate, reach out. It’s never too late to get your fresh start or take that first step. Let’s start a conversation.

It's been another busy day. I finished the rough draft of a project for one of my clients, booked some travel for another, and syndicated blog posts for my third. I am so excited to have this big project ready for client review tonight so I can finalize it all tomorrow.
