HBYOB "Home Brew Your Own Beer" has been a tremendous customer of ours for years. If you are interested in running your own homebrew shop, here is your chance! More information in the post below. 👇
This is difficult to post, and honestly something I’ve been putting off for far too long.
After nearly 10 years, I’ve made the difficult decision to put HBYOB up for sale.
I also want to make it clear — this does NOT mean we are closing. Business will continue as normal, and we are still here serving customers just like always.
This business has been a huge part of my life. What started as a small idea grew into something that connected me with so many great people over the years. I’m incredibly grateful for every customer who supported us, shared advice, stopped in to talk brewing, or chose to shop local.
Owning a small business is not easy, and there have been a lot of long days and sacrifices behind the scenes to keep things going all these years. Seeing HBYOB make it this far is something I’m truly proud of.
What makes this especially emotional for me is knowing this business helped me support my kids, and now even my grandkids, over the years. That’s something I’ll never be able to fully put into words, and something I’ll always be grateful for.
I also want to thank my wife. One morning I woke her up and told her, “I think I’m going to open a home brewing store.” Her response was simply, “DO IT.” Without her support and belief in me, none of this would have ever happened. A few short months later, we opened the doors for business.
This decision definitely wasn’t easy, but I feel it’s time to explore what’s next and find someone who is excited to buy, run, and continue building this business into the future.
If you know someone who may be interested in owning an established homebrew supply business with a loyal customer base — or someone interested in managing and running the business without purchasing it outright — feel free to message me privately. Serious inquiries only.
And to everyone who has supported HBYOB over the years — thank you. It truly means more than you know.
