❤️💙Aging and Family Services offer an in-home care program set up for Veterans of any age. If you are a Veteran or know a Veteran who may need assistance in the home, contact the VA and choose Aging and Family Services to provide services. The VA will let the Veteran know what programs meet their eligibility requirements. Veterans who are eligible for a VA pension and require the aid and attendance of another person, or are homebound, may be eligible for an additional monetary payment. These benefits are paid in addition to a monthly pension, and they are not paid without eligibility for a pension.
The Veterans Care Program at Aging and Family Services is for Veterans who need skilled services, case management, and help with activities of daily living. This can include help with bathing, dressing, fixing meals, or reminding to take medicines. This program is also for Veterans who are isolated or whose caregiver is experiencing a burden. Homemaker and Home Health Aide services can be used in combination with other Home and Community-Based Services. A Homemaker or Home Health Aide can be used as an alternative to nursing home care and as a way to provide Respite care at home for Veterans and their family caregiver. The services of a Homemaker or Home Health Aide can help Veterans remain living in their own home.
