This customer was experiencing issues with rainwater runoff on their road, and we implemented a simple, cost-effective solution by installing a 4in perforated pipe with a 10ft joint of schedule 40 PVC to prevent crushing of the outlet pipe, then filled the trench with clean #57 stone to create a French drain. This week's project involved demolishing and removing an existing porch, filling an inground pool with 420 tons of shale, and expanding the driveway parking area. We are nearing completion of this job and are ready for the final stone.

This customer had previously utilized rainwater cisterns to collect water from downspouts. Over time, however, the cisterns settled and overflowed near the foundation, causing basement leaks. We removed the cisterns, installed downspout drainage pipes, regraded the parking area to slope away from the house, and applied fabric and stone. This customer presented us with a concept for a retaining wall, complete with the necessary blocks readily available. We transformed their outdoor space by removing field stones, excavating and pouring a footer, and constructing the wall, incorporating dead men anchors, vertical and horizontal rebar, and gravel.
