I remember when Tre was in elementary school and I wanted him to read more. I spoke with Mrs. D, his librarian, about options. The first thing she said was, “Graphic novels are reading, and always remember that. You want to find something that interests him, not what you think he should read.” That has stuck with me years almost 10 years later. Over the years, Tre has read a variety of books and series. All of these are great options if you want to get your son, nephew, or grandchild into reading more. The high school books are also ones I have read. In the summer, we do family reading. Tre gets a physical copy, and I listen to audio or read on my Kindle. It is great if you can find a book that has been turned into a movie too. You can create a plan to discuss it together as a family.
