Assange’s plea makes reforming the Espionage Act even more of an imperative. We must stop the U.S. government from continuing to weaponize the Espionage Act against whistleblowers, sources, and publishers. Reforming the Espionage Act is an uphill battle, but so was the battle to free Assange.
