Cloudburst Creative Consulting

Cloudburst Creative Consulting Professional Home and Business Organizer
and Relocation Specialist
Launched: March 9, 2009 I want to help you be more efficient and productive.

My goal is that you will always find exactly what you’re looking for, exactly where you looked. I develop paper file management systems, organize digital files and folders, and help eliminate habits that do not serve you. I enjoy finding usable space under the clutter of daily life, and I thrive on making your space work for you. I work virtually with small businesses, office teams, home office pr

ofessionals, and home managers to develop efficient and repeatable systems. I’ve been a Professional Organizer and Relocation Specialist for over a decade. I have been your one-stop-shop for packing, logistics, moving day coordination, unpacking, and downsizing, with minimal stress. For five of those years, I followed the moving truck cross-country for several clients a year, and I hiked, camped, and ate my way through the lower 48 for months at a time in my treasured Subaru Outback. (266,279 miles before the exhaust fell out and the transmission failed.) During the pandemic, I got married and bought a house, and I am happily tethered by my husband, my grandsons, and our family. Since I am not travelling as much, I developed a (trademark pending) custom system for managing your relocation project via Zoom. If you're ready to discuss your organizing, productivity, or efficiency project, please schedule an initial meeting through Calendly:

It's the 12th Day of Christmas and the end of the holiday season in many households. In my home, we often leave the tree and lights up a little further into the dark months of winter, but January 6th is the day to put away the ornaments, stockings, wreaths, holiday cards, and Santa cookie jar. It's bittersweet, but the transition of seasons and decor helps me move into the New Year with a clean slate.

For many people, it can be stressful to decorate: sorting out the lights, finding where all the various boxes ended up, or dusting and de-gunking items that were not covered while in storage. For many of the same, it's just as stressful to put away the decorations at the end of the season, especially if you've added new items that won't fit in that closet. Why not give yourself one last gift this holiday season and take the time to organize your holiday storage space? I bet we can find a better solution than hiding the tree in the chimney!

When do you take down your decorations?
How long does it take to decorate and undecorate every year?
How do you keep your most precious and sentimental items clean and safe when they are not on display?

PRO TIP: use your childhood friends' phone numbers as passwords.
You know when it says you need a certain number of letters, numbers, and symbols?
Ph(123)456-7890
Then use the person's name or initials as your password hint.

*Note: I do not recommend using your *own* childhood phone number, especially if it is still in use (parents' homes, etc.), because that would be searchable.

But no one is going to know which person you chose or look up their phone number from 1985. And NO ONE is going to guess an otherwise random string of numbers. Odds are, there are only a handful of people who even remember that number existing, and your elementary school best friend and high school sweetheart are *probably* not hacking your accounts.

This is beautifully said. What do you keep on your desk? What used to be there?
There's magic in a careful, cultivated collection. Your home doesn't have to be a museum or a temple or static and sterile. What can we do to see the beauty in common, chosen objects more often?

Today’s mental exercise: Remembering a few things that used to be on my various desks over the years but aren’t anymore:

A pack of Marlboro ci******es, a red IBM Selectric typewriter, a fake leather notebook containing the handwritten draft of a novel no one wanted to publish, a love letter from Amsterdam, a small pocket knife from South Africa, the mint Mont Blanc ‘Meisterstuck’ pen from the 1940’s I bought for 50 cents at a flea market, the first bound copy of THE LAND OF LAUGHS with the ugly red cover, a fat tooth from my first dog, a small silver elephant good luck charm from a Polish fan, a bottle of that great cologne from K, a return airplane ticket to LA never used, my father’s eyeglasses I kept after he died, the first wooden stick of my MARRIAGE OF STICKS collection, a beautiful Italian leather key chain with one key on it to her apartment she gave me for my birthday, pictures of you.

All gone.
