DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS (DSP's) NEEDED!!
I have developmentally disabled individuals on my caseload in Barton, Binghamton, Gilbertsville/Otego, Norwich, and Owego who are in need of quality staff who will help them to live the life they desire. Daytime, evening, overnight and weekend hours are available. Pay rates range from $15 to $19 per hour. Mileage and expenses are reimbursable.
What is a developmental disability?
Developmental disabilities that qualify a person for OPWDD eligibility include, but are not limited to, intellectual disability, autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, familial dysautonomia, Prader-Willi syndrome, and neurological impairment (injury, malformation or disease involving the central nervous system).
What is self direction?
Self direction gives developmentally disabled individuals the chance to choose their own services so they can live the life they want. Individuals have increased flexibility to choose the right supports, the staff they want to work with, and the schedule that works best for them. Self direction allows individuals to decide where to live, how to spend their days, what to do in their spare time, how to stay healthy and active, and who to hire to assist them.
