When i was going through the darkest time in my life in 2007, God spoke to me in Deuteronomy Chapter 30 (About Returning to the Lord) specifically verse 6:

"And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart ... so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live."

For a week this chapter has been following me in all the reading materials I read and message from the pulpit. Then eventually i had this dream that the death angel with a sickle in his hand was ready to take me. To me, that was a nightmare! So, the only thing I can think of was to ask the Lord's forgiveness of my sins and I felt the heaviness in me been lifted up and then i felt the peace, beyond understanding, resided in me from then on. Transformation happened thereafter and loving God with all my heart and soul manifested.

Hallelujah to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

I'm grateful to learn something new again...

Growth doesn't stop when we graduate, get a promotion, or reach a milestone. Life itself is our greatest classroom.

Every book we read, every conversation we have, every challenge we overcome, and every mistake we learn from shapes us into a better version of ourselves.

Personal development isn't about becoming perfectโ€”it's about becoming better than we were yesterday.

Stay curious. Stay teachable. Be willing to learn, unlearn, and grow. The moment we think we know it all is the moment we stop growing.

As Proverbs 1:5 reminds us: "Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance."

When your body feels weak, your energy is low, or your health journey seems slower than you hoped, don't give up on yourself.

Healing isn't always instant. Strength isn't built overnight. Every healthy meal, every walk, every stretch, every good night's sleep, and every positive choice is a step toward a healthier you.

Don't compare your journey to someone else's. Celebrate the small victories because they add up over time. Your body is a gift from God, and caring for it is an act of gratitude and good stewardship.

"If I was you, I'd wanna be me too." ๐ŸŽถ

That catchy line from Meghan Trainor's song "Me, Too" reminds us of something many people struggle withโ€”seeing value in themselves.

In a world filled with comparison, it's refreshing to remember that you don't have to be anyone else. God created you with purpose, gifts, and a unique calling.

The Bible teaches us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31). Healthy self-love isn't arrogance rather it's recognizing that you are wonderfully made by God and treating yourself with the same grace and kindness you would extend to others.

At the same time, our confidence should never stop with ourselves. Our greatest identity is found in Jesus Christ. He is the source of our worth, our hope, and our purpose. When we focus only on ourselves, pride can take root. But when we fix our eyes on Jesus, our confidence is grounded in His love rather than our accomplishments.

So celebrate who God created you to be. Walk confidently in His purpose. Love yourself because you are loved by Him.

And above all, live in such a way that when people see your life, they are inspired not just to admire you -- but to know and follow Jesus.

It's been a while since I last posted on this page.

Many of you may remember that this began as my digital marketing business page. After much prayer, reflection, and experiencing burnout, I made the difficult decision to close that chapter about a year ago.

Although it wasn't an easy decision, I have no regrets. Every experience taught me valuable lessons, strengthened my faith, and reminded me that sometimes God leads us to let go so He can prepare us for something even better.

As I entered my Jubilee year in 2025, I embraced a fresh season of life. Over the past year, I've rediscovered what truly brings me joy -- growing in my relationship with God, caring for my health and well-being, finding purpose in my work, nurturing my love for gardening, exploring new places, and appreciating the simple blessings of everyday life.

So today, I'm excited to relaunch this page with a new purpose.

Zestful Life with Leila is a space where faith meets everyday living -- a place to celebrate God's goodness through life's ordinary and extraordinary moments. I'll be sharing my faith journey, work life, health and wellness, gardening, travel adventures, personal growth, and the little joys that make life meaningful.

My prayer is that every post will inspire, encourage, uplift, or simply bring a smile to your day. Most of all, I hope to point hearts to Jesus, who is the true source of our joy, strength, and hope.
