👋 Hey, it’s , the creator of Origami Day, popping into the feed directly to make an announcement. Before I get to the news, I’ll share a few thoughts…
In less than one week I will celebrate my surgiversary. 🎉 July 2 marks 10 years since I had my chest cut open. Why would I celebrate this? Well, because it changed me from a workaholic to a time management guru (not overnight, of course) and gave me a better life. This milestone is making me especially introspective and grateful. I want to say thank you to each of you who have been on this journey with us. 🙏 Every last person is needed for the Origami Day mission (creating a culture of balance) and I’m thankful to be doing this work with you.
Reaching a milestone is always a great time to do things differently. Since the inception of Origami Day, a lot has evolved. We went from only selling Weekly Sheets via subscription boxes to a full-blown time management products + services business. 🤯 The growth has been enjoyable and encouraging, and it’s not stopping. We are regularly rolling out updated offerings and new resources to help YOU manage your time for real work-life balance. In order to do this, we are going to follow our own time management advice.
So here’s the news, we are going to take a break from regularly posting on most social media channels. Don’t worry, you can still hear from us via our monthly email and my LinkedIn page. There is also an arsenal of older posts for you to scroll through if you start to miss us. We will check DMs and may share anything that inspires us in our stories. Plus the YouTube channel & Tip Library are not going anywhere. In short, there are still many ways for you to consume our content, but the 3Ps of time management (Prioritize, Plan, Protect) tell us this is the right choice for now. We want to spend less time on social media and more time being social with customers and the people we love IRL. We may be back. We may not. But we will certainly be in your inbox if you get on the list - did I mention it gets you the Weekly Planning sheet that started it all? Until next time✌️
