Lately I've been thinking about a question that has become increasingly important in my work:

What is the organization teaching people through their everyday experience about how to succeed?

Not what's written on the posters on the wall. Not what's in the leadership handbook. Not what's communicated at the annual meeting.

But...what are people actually learning?

Today, I had the opportunity to facilitate an Integrative Enneagram experience as we officially kicked off another year of the Transformational Leadership Program at Dollywood, and I left feeling incredibly energized about where this program is headed.

There’s something powerful about watching a room full of leaders lean into deeper self-awareness together.

What stood out to me the most was the engagement in the room. Internal coaches and participants alike showed up with curiosity, honesty, and a willingness to reflect. To challenge themselves and learn from one another. That kind of environment doesn’t happen by accident. It’s being built intentionally over time through trust, partnership, and a shared commitment to leadership growth.

I’m especially grateful for Leah Graves and her partnership in continuing to evolve this program in meaningful ways. It’s exciting to see how the foundation of TLP continues to strengthen while also creating space for new ideas and even greater impact across the organization.

True leadership development is never just about learning new tactics. It’s about becoming more aware of how we show up, how we impact others, and how we lead ourselves under pressure. Watching a new cohort begin that journey together is always meaningful.

I am so thankful to continue this work and excited for what’s ahead for these leaders over the coming year.
