Why hello there ✨

My name is Samanthalee, and I’m the face behind Raise the Invincible. It’s been a long time since I’ve shown my face around here, and even longer since RTI has been used for what it was originally created for — and that’s exactly what I’m coming back to do.

Raise the Invincible began when I was about 14 or 15 years old as a way to raise money for nonprofits by organizing concerts for my musician friends. It gave me the chance to produce and organize shows, support artists I loved, and raise funds for causes close to my heart (or the heart of the community). I also got to photograph the events, which became one of my favorite parts — capturing the joy, connection, and good people who were all just “being” together.

That’s the heart I’m bringing back to Raise the Invincible starting this year. I’m currently meeting with local businesses and musicians to figure out the best way to bring these benefit events to life again — in a way that’s meaningful, accessible, and fun for everyone involved.

I’ll still be offering photography outside of these benefit events, just under .SMGPhotography instead. If you’re looking for a photographer for special events, family photos, branding/marketing shoots, or anything in between, I’d love to work with you.

I’m endlessly grateful for every single person who has supported me along this journey and continues to do so. Returning RTI to its roots is something I’ve wanted for a long time, and I’m hoping to eventually expand it beyond East TN.

If you have ideas for a nonprofit that deserves more awareness, a venue that would be perfect for a show, a band that wants to play a show (or five), or if you’re interested in helping out/volunteering — let me know.

These two precious babies turned two months old today, and I'm still in disbelief!

I was lucky enough to take some photos during my visit this afternoon and schedule their Christmas mini session.

I'm eager to keep documenting their lives as they grow and flourish.
