Can I share something a little different today?

I've been in HR and people strategy long enough to know that timing matters just as much as talent. But I also believe that applies to our personal lives โ€” not just our organizations.

Here's something I use personally: numerology's 9-year personal cycle.

Every person, based on their birth date, is in a completely different year energetically than the calendar year we all share. So if 2026 feels slightly off โ€” like you're pushing upstream โ€” it's not a sign something is wrong with you. It's likely a sign you're in a season that calls for something different than what the world is telling you to do.

I created a simple tip sheet to help you:

โœฆ Understand the theme of your current 9-year cycle
โœฆ Redirect your focus toward what's actually aligned for this season

A few months ago, a California mental-health care facility was ordered to pay US $40,460 after it unlawfully terminated a care-worker for reporting unsafe working conditions and missing meal/rest breaks.

According to the official report, the worker had flagged multiple issues: unclean bathrooms, a roach-infested kitchen, and neglected safety concerns for residents. When she tried to alert management and even informed them sheโ€™d report the violations to the authorities, she was suspended โ€” then fired.

The workplace retaliation ruling was made final in late 2024 when the employer failed to appeal. The full penalty (plus interest) was recovered and paid to the former employee.

a single violation or mis-step โ€” missing meal breaks, failing to maintain clean/safe conditions, or retaliating when problems are reported โ€” can trigger serious liability, heavy fines, and legal consequences.
