Tomorrow is MOVING DAY!

We’d never stayed a full year in one place, but we’d also never come back to a place to live before…

Until Westcliffe. Because it’s truly so special!

Like, okay yeah, it’s an hour from the nearest Walmart or chain grocery store.

But it’s 20 minutes to some of the most gorgeous mountains I’ve ever hiked in. And it’s got cutie little shops & restaurants. And some really rad people.

It’s the kind of rural town I grew up in in the Midwest, except with MOUNTAINS. (The dream).

But it’s finally time to say goodbye. And I’m ready. But I’m going to miss it, for sure.

Anyway, see you in Oregon!

quite possibly my best hiking with dogs hack! this works with any car with some kind of trunk or hatchback!

because we’re certainly not leaving our p**p bags at the trailhead, but you also don’t have to smell it all the way home 🤪

the last of the colorado microadventures 🥹

(but never the last of the microadventures because those will absolutely be resuming next week after our move!)

anyway, this week I’m using our last 3 days in colorado to squeeze in 3 more microadventures. the ones I’ve had on repeat for the last few months. and I’m taking you with me!

oh! and in case you missed my sneaky little lesson: a microadventure doesn’t always have to be new & exciting! it’s whatever makes you happy & fits into your life. honestly, I love repeating microadventures because I don’t have to use my brain to pick something new & it helps me ACTUALLY go do something good for me!

the camping & the hiking & the new friends & the celebrations & the family time & the rad experiences & the core memories that’ll stick with me long after this summer is gone 🥹

just feeling really grateful for a life I get to fill with the things that make me happy!
