Lafayette Tool and Die is looking for an experienced Toolmaker/Machinist.
If you enjoy variety, problem solving, and quality craftsmanship and you’re tired of being treated like a number instead of a name, this could be a great fit.
This is a true tool room environment, not a production line. Our work is varied, and no two days are necessarily the same.
What You’ll Do
• Run CNC and manual mills and lathes independently
• Build, repair, and modify tooling, fixtures, and one off parts
• Read and interpret prints and machine to tight tolerances
• Think through setups, tooling, and machining methods
• Work independently while also contributing as part of a team
• Take pride in producing accurate, quality work
