We've updated the report template! To provide a clearer and more accurate picture of crime and police activity in Lafayette, we've updated the report to include NIBRS Group A and Group B offense classifications as defined by the FBI's National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS). The purpose of this monthly report is to provide transparency and to inform the public of the type of police activity that occurs in the City of Lafayette May 2026 numbers are compared with May 2025.
The Lafayette Police Department is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you see anything suspicious or have any concerns, please contact LPD.
