Students Needed: Design a Safer Campus

Are you interested in government, public policy, public administration, criminal justice, emergency management, sustainability or improving your campus?

Dutch Crafted Solar Seating is launching a Campus Safety & Public-Space Innovation Challenge and we're looking for college students who want to work on a real-world campus project.

The challenge is simple:

Identify a location on your campus where safety, accessibility, emergency preparedness, sustainability or public-space functionality could be improved.
will research the problem and develop a proposal addressing:

• What is the problem?
• Who is affected?
• Where is it happening?
• What could be done differently?
• How could the project be funded?
• What would the benefits be?

This is an opportunity to gain practical experience in public policy, infrastructure planning, community engagement and problem solving while developing a project that could potentially be presented to university decision-makers.
