Effective immediately, companies and organizations can utilize my new Crisis Management Agent Advisor that sits at the top of my website at www.richkleincrisis.com.

It's been built based primarily on the three key timelines in a crisis: Before, During and After and offers users (for free) some basic information about the key first steps to take when in the middle of a crisis, planning for one or rebuilding reputation once the crisis begins to subside.

The agent will first ask you to choose from 11 languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Cantonese, Portuguese-Brazilian, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese and Chinese Simplified/Mandarin.

It will then ask your location and the industry you are in.

For those in the middle of a crisis, perhaps this is where the agent is most useful. Instead of waiting to reach me for a phone or video call, it will prompt you to answer some basic questions so I will get an immediate head start on helping to minimize any damage to reputation.

All the agent content goes only to me and is kept strictly confidential.

I've been testing this for a few weeks after building it on Claude Code and feel comfortable with the outputs.

All the content is based on my four decades in journalism/public relations and includes tips pulled from my articles, blogs and videos from The Crisis Show (on YouTube), which I hosted from 2012 through 2018.

I will be updating this regularly and , of course, fix any hallucinations that arise.

If you or your colleagues/clients need crisis communications/crisis management help at any stage, please feel free to share www.richkleincrisis.com.

Finally, I'd be grateful for any initial feedback if you decide to test it yourself.

Thanks!

It's 2:30 a.m. on the East Coast of the U.S. and media outlets are reporting very preliminary information about a collision between an Air Canada Express plane and an emergency vehicle operated by the Port Authority of NY and NJ on Runway 4 at LaGuardia Airport in Queens.

The incident happened just after 11:30 pm Sunday.

Three hours later, neither LaGuardia Airport (LGA) website, Air Canada, U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and the Federal Aviation Administration have posted anything on social media about the incident.

That is a major failure in basic crisis management and crisis communications when all those responsible had to do was acknowledge that it happened, tell the public about the airport's closure and that there will be updates once more is learned.

Every organization, particularly those in the airline business, should have holding statements for potential crisis situations just like this that can be quickly posted in the event of an emergency of this magnitude.

I'll have more to say on this later Monday.

PR experts say major law firms were caught flat-footed when fresh disclosures linked to Jeffrey Epstein resurfaced, exposing how poorly Big Law prepares for reputational crises.

With colleges and universities back in session, it's important that education leaders understand their responsibilities to communicate effectively with all critical audiences. Unfortunately, too many college presidents, vice presidents and deans are not ready to speak to the media when a crisis hits. I have a record of working successfully to media train multiple college presidents and others in high ranking college positions so they are prepared for a wide variety of crisis scenarios.

Here's a repost of a January 2024 article that addresses explores issues that will continue to confront college campuses this semester and beyond.
