Hello, everyone! I know I rightly should have posted something last year on my 40th year in business. But, here we go: this year begins my 41st year of tuning & servicing pianos. The most famous person I’ve tuned for? Ray Charles! I was tuning for an open-air venue in the 1990’s, and they had Ray Charles come for one of their shows. He brought his own piano, a Yamaha (perhaps the one shown below). When I was finished tuning, I saw him being led on stage to the piano, his hair grizzled not quit as much as in the photo below. I don’t really ever use this as a “selling point” for my services, because he never actually requested me personally to tune for him, and I never saw him again after that!
