Met up with some of the mounted pose riverside county sheriff out at a car show last weekend! Awesome people! My good friend and partner Elliot had the opportunity to give a rattlesnake awareness course along with the search and rescue scent training class.

My friend kenny Elliot and I had the honor of getting to spread rattlesnake awareness to the Riverside county mounted posse! It was pretty cool to get to meet all of you and your four legged friends! And to help keep them safe from rattlesnakes during the scent training for search and rescue! You guys are all awesome and thank you for your service !

First off, a big thank you to DrDavid Jeffrey! With out him this snake most likely wouldn’t have made it much longer.

So yes this video can be a little graphic. Everything isn’t all sunshine and rainbows when you are rescuing animals. This is a speckled rattlesnake that needed help passing an infertile egg (slug) before it became a problem.

Different outlook on snakes…. Give it a try

In response to the "the only good snake is a dead snake" comments that occasionally proliferate on our and other pages, here is a summary of why that is demonstrably untrue.

Stopped by my favorite place! some of my favorite snakes

This call got serious fast once I had found out the snake had a wire around its neck and was being chocked to death! The land owner was not trying to hurt the snake. He simply just didn’t think this plan all the way through lol I managed to save the snake and remove the wire very carefully and was able to release the snake back out into the wild where he belongs

This home owner has made herself a perfect snake hotel! She had constant running water on multiple locations, bird seed piles everywhere, and a million places to hide. Then asked me, “ why do I have so many snakes in my yard ?” Lol

I removed not one but 2! Red diamond rattlesnakes from this property!

She even had SNAKE GAURD spread out and one of the snakes was actually found coiled up ontop of the bag!
