We are more than our professions.

Last year, I reflected on the milestone of having reached the age where I had been blessed to have known and loved Jack for more than half of my life. That reality is so significant and profoundly special.

Tomorrow, I will reach another milestone, the 29th yahrtzeit of my beloved mother Ethel Gardner Rosenfield. An anniversary that marks a moment in time where I have now lived more than half my life without my mom, a true Eyshet Chayil, Woman of Valor.

29 years gone. Unbelievable.

I still vividly remember the night she died.

Mom closed her eyes for the last time after I was awoken by a gentle angel, the nurse who cared for mom who told me that mom needed to see me. With her eyes glazed over, I approached mom's bedside knowing that these were her final moments of life.

I reassured her that I would be okay, that Jack would always be there for me, and that together we would always honor her. Quietly, she passed forward her blessing, a pure and courageous reflection of accepting the deep love that we had for one another. And then with one final kiss, we said goodbye. Mom passed away.

I cried and then I slowly arose from her still body and called the one person whom I loved as deeply as mom. Jack drove all night and together we buried my mother the next day surrounded by loved ones.

So here we are now, 29 years later, half of my life, without mom. Always in my heart.

Rest in peace mom and please tell Jack I love him.

When you close a $5 million gift for a client, it’s worth a l’chayim.

I really feel a deep sense of gratitude for the work I am able to do everyday on behalf of the Jewish community. 36 years and counting!

It is always an amazing feeling to help a congregation eliminate all debt as part of the sacred work we do as a firm in support of the Jewish community. Congratulations to Congregation Beth-El.

"We have exciting and wonderful news to share! Yesterday the balance of the mortgage on our beautiful building was paid in full!!! This was accomplished as a result of campaign funds already collected, and in anticipation of all future pledge payments.

We are grateful to the visionaries who saw fit to secure Beth El’s new home in Voorhees, all who contributed in these last decades to creating our beautiful campus, building, and schools, and to the over 300 donors to the Bayit Va’Lev campaign who understood what a significant milestone it would be to finally be debt free at Beth El. There will be many celebrations to follow as we move confidently into our next 105 years as a congregational community, and a chance to say the bracha of Shehehchiyanu as well. "
