Lakeport Fire and Rescue and Lakeport Emergency Medical Responders have started selling raffle tickets for our annual gun raffle. Drawing will be held at the Fire Dept Pork Roast on July 11th, 2026. If you would like to purchase tickets ask any of our awesome firefighters, EMRs, or get them at Howg’s Gas & Service.

E911 address signs are important for many reasons including assisting in locating your home in the event of an emergency situation. Please make sure yours can be seen clearly in all hours of the day and night.

Happy First Responders Day to all our volunteers! We would like to take a moment to thank you for all the time and work you put into serving your community. Thank you to community members who showed up with pontoons and boats this morning to help with a water rescue! Also Hubbard County Sheriff's, North Memorial EMS & Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for assisting. It takes a whole village and we definitely have an amazing one! Everyone is safe thanks to the quick response.

Only casualty was the city dock which we will be assisting with repairing this afternoon. 😉

When it’s the dog days of summer you open up the biggest sprinkler you can find! We enjoyed cooling the kiddos off at the Guthrie Community Picnic and Parade today.

Yesterday evening Lakeport Fire Department responded to a fully engulfed house fire on Kabekona Lake. On the hottest day of the summer so far it was definitely a challenge to keep firefighters cool and able to fight the fire. We would like to send out a huge thank you to Lakeport Emergency Medical Responders for keeping us hydrated and handing out cold packs to cool us off, Lake George Fire & Rescue & Walker MN Fire for providing water and extra manpower, North Memorial EMS for standing by and assisting with medical needs, and Hubbard County Sheriff's Office for bringing cold Gatorade! You all are very much appreciated, we couldn’t have done it without you. Our thoughts & prayers go out to the family who lost their house and belongings.

On behalf of the Lakeport Fire Relief Association, we would like to send a HUGE THANK you out to everyone who attended the Open House and Pork Roast yesterday! We estimate we served approximately 720 plates of food! We are very thankful for all the support we recieve from our community!
