At the edge of a shallow, clear river in the sanctuary.
A baby elephant walks in slowly, curious.
Dips the tip of its trunk into the water.
Takes a little, sprays it gently on itself.
Then plays with the surface. Small splashes.
Ears flap. Eyes bright. Full of joy.
A caretaker watches from far behind, just to keep watch.

Seekor anak gajah jalan pelan, penasaran.
Mencelupkan ujung belalainya ke air.
Ambil sedikit, semprotkan ke tubuhnya sendiri.
Lalu mengaduk permukaan air. Muncul percikan kecil.
Telinga dikibas-kibas. Ceria, aktif, dan penuh tanya.
Pengasuh mengawasi dari jauh tanpa mengganggu.

Gently touches the caretaker’s hand with its trunk tip.
Then gives a soft pull, like "let's go".
The caretaker smiles and follows.
They walk a few steps together, side by side.
Spontaneous, funny, warm, and adorable.

Penuh rasa ingin tahu.
Menyentuhkan ujung belalainya dengan lembut ke tangan pengasuh.
