Be honest: Did you actually relax this weekend?
It’s August, which means my feed is full of reminders that it’s National Wellness Month. We’re told to meditate, turn off our phones, and get 8 hours of sleep.
But for many business owners I know, "resting" looks more like:
👉 Staring at the ceiling at 2 AM wondering if a project is on track.
👉 Checking emails during family dinner "just in case."
👉 Answering "quick questions" while on vacation so the business doesn't stall.
The typical wellness advice feels like putting a band-aid on a broken bone. The problem isn’t your meditation routine; the problem is that you are trapped in the "Hub-and-Spoke" model, where nothing happens without you.
If your physical and mental presence is required for the business to survive, you don't have an asset—you have a trap.
