What an energized, fully engaged, and receptive (The Zen Speaker’s Beyond the Expected) speaking group this is! I can’t wait to hear their practice presentations next month and watch them grow as compelling communicators.

If you are consistent, detailed and committed in your daily tasks, even minute ones, you most likely are the same in your overall work ethic. If you procrastinate, excuse your way through undone tasks, and find yourself overwhelmed easily, you probably are often in that chaotic state.

Is it true for you? Is how you approach what you do in one area how you approach other areas? Learn more in The Zen Speaker's Newsletter at www.thezenspeaker.com/is-it-true-newsletter

Working with this particular Olympic Gold Medalist raised my coaching game immediately. Fields was already a good speaker when we met, but he would never settle for good when he was used to great. He attacked his speaking training like he did everything in his life (“how you do anything is how you do everything”), with focus, dedication, and commitment. He puts in many hours to make his keynotes look effortless and the audiences’ reactions are proof his process works…he is a sought after speaker with groups asking him to return regularly. If you get a chance to see him speak, do it…he never fails to inspire!

Connor, thank you for allowing me to coach you for almost a decade now…it’s an honor and it is more fun than Disneyland!

“Argue for your limitations and they are surely yours.” I remember reading those words decades ago in one of my favorite books, Illusions, by Richard Bach. It resonated deeply then and continues to pop up as one of those seemingly never-ending
lessons.
