It’s crazy to think that I’ve been volunteering with .crew.collab for more than 3 years now! I am so grateful to this group, the wonderful friendships that it’s brought me, the passion behind our mission that I’ve developed, and the fact that they’ve trusted me to serve as President this year. It’s been an incredibly busy year for both my day job and for Crew.
I look forward to finishing out the year strong and to some awesome things on deck for 2024!

Adding the Ag sector to my territory this year has really been a challenge. I’m used to “go-time” being over the fall/winter when construction equipment is coming into the shop for seasonal maintenance….that’s when most l**e sales would happen as service managers would be prepping for this.
Ag requires an entirely different sales approach. My dealers fit in all of their training and events between planting and harvest…so summertime. This means extensive travel May - Oct depending where they are located.
Then add in the fact that farmers are typically a much harder sell and much more resistant to change (if you thought construction was bad, you have no idea)…

If you’re in Ag, what do you feel is missing in the industry or from your dealers when it comes to lubricants? I need all of the help I can get!

Thanks to the Great Lakes Construction Association, I had the once in a lifetime chance to spend time chatting with Mark Breslin about The Crew Collaborative, our initiatives, and the impact we are working to make on our industry! The presentation that Mark put on for the group was incredible, but it was the personal chat we had after that left me with a new perspective. "Why not me?" He really challenged me to think about my personal place in the industry and my long term plan. The construction industry isn't the only one facing negative stigma and needing workforce development, so does the petroleum industry, and I am after all, "The Oil Lady"! Thank you Mark! My wheels are turning and I am reinvigorated in regards to what the future holds.

This week I was honored to be elected President of The Crew Collaborative by my fellow board members. I look forward to leading our team for the next two years and cannot wait to see how Crew will have progressed by the end of my tenure.

I still remember the fateful day 2.5 years ago that a handful of us got together to share our passion for the trades, and to brainstorm ways we could work together to solve the workforce gap. In that short amount of time, we have...

-Incorporated as a 501c3
-Elected a full board
-Gained the support of a handful of amazing industry giants.
-Launched 2 pillars of programming (Classroom Talks & Ambassadors).
-Graduated two classes of Ambassadors through our professional training program.
-Performed lots of wildly successful classroom talks across the country.
-Became an official non-profit partner of CONEXPO-CON/AGG with booth planning in full swing.
-Hired our first paid Executive Director.
-Elected our second round of leadership.
..and we are just getting started!
