You’re Not Buying Leads
Joining a Real Estate Team? It’s Not Just About Leads
Thinking about joining a team? Leads are not the only value. A great team provides training, systems, accountability, culture, and support that helps you build a real business.

Before summer disappears into the next thing, I wanted to pause long enough to ask a better question.
Not just:
What did I get done?
Not just:
What worked?
Not just:
What didn’t go the way I hoped?
But:
What is worth carrying forward?

This summer has taught me a lot about resetting, realigning, and beginning again.
Some of it came through momentum.
Some through beauty.
Some through frustration.
Some through plans that changed while I was still walking them.

This week’s Wandering But Not Lost reflection shares three reminders I’m carrying forward:

Reset sooner.
Choose before you chase.
Keep going without losing yourself.
You do not have to carry the whole season with you.
Just carry what still feels true.

Real life does not stop just because we need a reset.

The calendar still fills.
The work still matters.
People still need us.
The responsibilities keep arriving.

So maybe the goal is not to escape everything.

Maybe the goal is to keep going without losing ourselves in the process.

That is what this week’s Wandering But Not Lost reflection is about:

How to Keep Going Without Losing Yourself

A simple practice for tending what matters, releasing what is not yours to measure, and taking one step that still feels like you.

Some places remain because someone chose to think beyond their own lifetime.

Trails were built. Forests were protected. Meadows, mountains, rivers, wildlife, and historic places were set aside not for immediate gain, but for lasting good.

That is one of the most extraordinary ideas behind our national parks:

People protected these places for strangers they would never meet.

For us.

Today marks the 110th birthday of the National Park Service, and Day Four of our PRICELESS journey feels especially fitting.

The promise was never simply that we would get to enjoy these places.

It was that we would care for them, honor them, and eventually hand them forward.

Someone protected these places without knowing our names.

What an extraordinary gift.

Lead Flow Reality Check
Team Leads Reality Check: Ask These Questions First
If a team promises leads, get specifics: how many, where they come from, how they’re routed, response time expectations, and whether there’s a different split for team leads.

This week has been one of those “pause and notice” weeks.

The school-year rhythm is settling back into place, the house is getting quieter during the day, and I’ve been reminded how quickly a new season can pull us into motion.

The next routine.
The next project.
The next goal.
The next thing asking for our attention.

And before we know it, we’re chasing.

But before we chase, maybe we need to choose.

Choose what deserves our attention.
Choose the season we are actually in.
Choose the next honest step.

That’s what this week’s Wandering But Not Lost reflection is about:

Before You Chase the Next Thing, Choose What Matters First

I hope it gives you a few minutes to pause, breathe, and ask what matters most right now.
