June 14, 2026 - at 2:08AM Boulder City Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call for a fire in the 1500 block of Boulder City Parkway. The first BCFD unit arrived on scene at 2:14AM, finding heavy smoke inside a commercial structure. A second alarm was called for Henderson Fire Department to assist. A fire involving an electric vehicle battery was discovered inside which took fire crews about 30 minutes to control the fire and remove the hazard from the structure. BCPD assisted with traffic control. No injuries were reported. Fire department personnel were on scene for two hours ensuring the structure was safe. The fire was determined to be unintentional from a lithium battery thermal runaway event.
