We were in a leadership session reviewing values that were clear, polished, and fully aligned on paper. Less than fifteen minutes later, a decision was made that contradicted those same values, and no one addressed it. That moment told the truth.

Culture is not what an organization says. It is what leadership is willing to move past in real time. In our work, when teams actually align leadership behavior with stated direction, we have seen more than 86% of stakeholders report increased clarity and shared language.

That is what real culture work looks like. If your organization is trying to shift culture without changing what gets reinforced, you are solving the wrong problem.

2025 was a year of meaningful partnerships and work that strengthened leadership, culture, and alignment across sectors. We supported APS & Associates with leadership retreats and internal cohesion, partnered with Kema Ogden and The Ogden Family Foundation on Breast Cancer Awareness and Adopt-A-Family, and celebrated .labs SULA Labs as they secured the Black Ambition Prize.

We continued our long-standing support of ArtworxLA, helping advance cultural resilience and youth-focused leadership development. And throughout the year, we deepened our national presence at convenings including Future Forward, CBCF’s Annual Legislative Conference, and our Martha’s Vineyard gathering.

Each of these collaborations reflects what we value most — institutions that lead with purpose, clarity, and cultural intelligence.

If your organization is preparing for 2026 and needs stronger alignment, strategy, or communication support, we would be glad to partner with you.

This past week, GLG had the privilege of participating in the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) Annual Week in Washington, D.C., bringing together leaders across government, business, and civil society to tackle some of the most pressing issues impacting communities today.

The event was a dynamic convergence of policy, innovation, and advocacy, with discussions ranging from economic empowerment and leadership development to education, healthcare, and civic engagement.

Across panels and roundtables, speakers emphasized the importance of intentional strategy, authentic representation, and inclusive decision-making to create systemic impact. For GLG, CBCF was an opportunity to engage with policymakers, corporate leaders, and community advocates, sharing insights on how organizations can align their strategies with cultural intelligence, drive authentic engagement, and respond thoughtfully to emerging challenges.

Our team highlighted approaches to strengthening organizational influence while ensuring operational resilience and inclusivity.
The conversations underscored a critical takeaway: building sustainable impact requires thoughtful integration of diverse perspectives at every level, from strategy and communications to partnerships and community engagement.

We left inspired by the exchange of ideas and grateful for the meaningful connections made throughout the week.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to engage with us. Your insights and collaboration reaffirm our commitment to helping leaders translate knowledge into actionable, culturally informed strategies.

Recently team GLG attended the launch of Attorney General Aaron Ford’s campaign for Governor of Nevada.

We were proud to be in the room as he laid out a vision centered on affordable housing, quality education, safer communities, and economic opportunity for Nevada families.

Our Director of Strategic engagement and respected Nevada community advocate, Ashley Dodson has been doing the steady work of building trust and connections that make moments like this possible, and we are so grateful for her partnership and dedication to the improvement of equitable outcomes across The Silver State.

As a firm, we show up to listen, learn, and engage around the issues shaping communities, not to center ourselves, but to be part of the conversations that matter.

This launch wasn’t just about a campaign, it was about the stakes for Nevadans: families fighting rising costs, students needing better schools, women’s rights under pressure, and communities demanding safety and dignity.

Being in the room isn’t the goal, it’s about understanding the policies and perspectives shaping the future, and ensuring our partners and clients are prepared to navigate the civic and cultural shifts ahead.

The work of leadership is collective. And moments like these remind us why strategy, foresight, and engagement matter. We are excited to continue to be present, collaborative, and thoughtful in how we engage with leaders and neighbors alike.

Leadership is not just about power, it’s about purpose.

Our Founder & CEO, Sabrina K.Garba, joined community leaders in support of Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford as he announced his run for Governor.

It was a powerful moment to reflect on the kind of leadership our communities deserve: grounded in justice, driven by values, and ready for impact.

We’re proud to stand with leaders who listen, engage, and lead with integrity.
