Hey y’all, here’s your Wednesday Wisdom ☁️

Whew, life can come at you fast!

One minute everything is going as planned, and the next minute you are trying to figure out what happened. But every hard season does not mean you are headed in the wrong direction.

Sometimes you have to give yourself permission to take it one day at a time and trust that you will make it through.

So take a moment and ask yourself:

How are you showing up when life starts lifeing?

If this resonated with you, like, share, and comment below. Somebody else may need this reminder today. ☁️

Hey y'all, here's your Wednesday Wisdom ☁️

Growth requires honesty, especially with ourselves.

Sometimes moving forward means recognizing where we could have made a different choice. Not to stay stuck in regret, but to learn from it and do something different the next time.

We can't change yesterday, but we can decide what we do with the lesson today.

Take a moment to reflect.

What could change in your life if you stopped making excuses and started making adjustments?

If this resonates, like, share, or repost so someone else can be encouraged to make the adjustment they need today.

Hey y'all, here's your Wednesday Wisdom ☁️

Sometimes the signs are there. The question is, are we paying attention?

People will show you who they are. Environments will show you whether you belong. And sometimes that feeling you can't quite explain is telling you everything you need to know.

Don't ignore what keeps showing up. Trust yourself enough to recognize when it's time to stay, shift, or move on.

Take a moment to reflect.

What is life trying to show you that you need to pay attention to?

Talk to me in the comments. If this resonates, like, share, or repost so someone else can receive this reminder today.

Hey y'all, here's your Wednesday Wisdom ☁️

There is freedom in being comfortable with who you are.

You don't have to prove yourself, compete with everybody around you, or make your life look perfect. Your journey is YOUR journey. Give yourself room to grow, make mistakes, learn, and keep becoming.

Take a moment to reflect.

Are you keeping it real, or are you trying to keep up?

Drop your thoughts in the comments. If this resonates, like, share, or tag someone who needs this reminder today.

Hey y'all, here's your Wednesday Wisdom ☁️

Sometimes growth begins with a change in perspective.

When we step away from our routine or into a different environment, we create space to think differently, dream bigger, and see possibilities we may have missed before.

Growth isn't always about doing more. Sometimes it's about giving yourself permission to pause, reflect, and see things through a new lens.

Take a moment to reflect.

Where is your happy place, and how does it help you grow, recharge, or think more creatively?

If this resonates, like, share, or repost so someone else can be encouraged today.

A glimpse into my breakout session at the Kansas School Nurse Organization Conference in Wichita.

I had the opportunity to have honest conversations about the evolving role of school nurses and why strong leadership, advocacy, and collaboration matter now more than ever.

Thank you, Kansas School Nurses Organization, for the opportunity to share. 💙

What is one challenge you believe school nurses are facing today?

There Is No Place Like School. Know Your Scope. Own Your Power.

What an honor it was to open the Kansas School Nurses Organization Conference.

School nursing looks very different today than it did even ten years ago. Today's school nurses care for students with increasingly complex medical needs while coordinating care, responding to emergencies, supporting mental health, managing chronic conditions, and helping students remain healthy enough to learn.

School nurses are not building secretaries.
They are not administrative assistants.
They are not the urgent care clinic for school employees.

They are licensed healthcare professionals.

What many people don't realize is that school nurses are also balancing state and federal laws, district policies, standards of nursing practice, and the requirements of their professional licensure every single day. Every clinical decision they make carries legal, ethical, and professional responsibility, all while protecting the health and safety of the students in their care.

My challenge wasn't only for school nurses.

It was also for school leaders.

Take the time to understand the value of your school nurse and the medical complexity they manage every day. A nurse's workload cannot be measured by student enrollment alone. Districts should evaluate staffing using evidence-based workload models that consider student acuity, medical complexity, and the nursing services required to safely support each school community. When you do, you may find that additional nursing staff are needed to meet the needs of your students.

When school nurses are empowered to practice within their scope, they can focus on what matters most: providing safe, high-quality care that supports student health, attendance, and academic success.

Thank you, Kansas School Nurses Organization, for the opportunity to share this message.

There is no place like school because there is no substitute for a school nurse practicing at the top of their license. Know your scope. Own your power.
