This is happening in April. Meet me in Italy!
If you can, share this to help me get the word out.
In this workshop, participants will learn to work with natural light in unexpected ways, creating both candid, tourism-style portraits and more formal compositions, as well as expressive landscapes. We’ll develop the ability to read and adapt to changing light, integrate subjects seamlessly into their environments, and use mindful preparation—breathwork, observation, and intentional slowness—to enter a state of creative flow. Students will leave with a refined portfolio, a deeper understanding of light as a storytelling tool, and personal techniques for grounding themselves before creative work. The Umbrian landscape, with its shifting skies, ancient architecture, and rich cultural rhythms, will serve as both classroom and muse, reflecting La Romita’s mission to inspire creativity through art and cultural immersion.
