Take time to reflect on your calendar this week - what does it say about your priorities and what changes do you need to make?

Whether your “work” looks like a cubicle from 9-5, raising little ones, or starting a business - you CAN and SHOULD find value in what you do. Often, this is more about your perspective than the tasks in front of you.

[ KEY PRACTICE ] When you feel your motivation waning - PAUSE. ✋🏼⏳Take time to re-assess why you do what you do. Identify the things you love about your “work”. Where do you add value to others? What were the things in the beginning that brought you a lot of fulfillment that you may have lost touch with? Fight for perspective and know that loving what you do is directly correlated to your productivity in the long run! 💡💪🏻🗓

Some of us treat the work week like a sprint, and others take it like a marathon - regardless of your working style there is a pace that is sustainable where you are at your best. On the flip side, there is a pace that is damaging and that will prevent you from finishing well. Sometimes your peak of productivity isn’t found through speed, but through slowing down enough to focus on your biggest priorities.

[ KEY PRACTICE ] Make a daily habit of time to breathe and mentally reset a priority. What are the 20-40 minutes a day that protect you from burnout and feeling out of control? For some it is exercise, for others a good book. Find your daily ritual to keep you centered and on pace for the week! 💪🏻🏃🏻‍♂️📖🧘‍♀️ Comment below with your go-to reset during a busy week!👇🏼

A big part of time management is the ability to set and hold boundaries. What you say “No” to matters. It takes intentionality to pass on certain things so that your true priorities get your focused attention.

[ KEY PRACTICE ] Take a few minutes at the start of your week to write down 5 things you want to protect. It could be getting 8 hours of sleep, working out, finishing that big project, time with family, etc. Now write down 5 other things that can often distract from your true priorities - Netflix, time on social media, other obligations. How will you set boundaries this week to say “No” to certain things so you can say “Yes” to what you truly value? 💪🏻🗓💡

Growth doesn’t happen overnight, it happens through small, steady changes. There is a tendency to rally our efforts around a large goal - to start a company, to go back to school, to lose 50 pounds. All worthy causes, but oftentimes the far-off goals never get translated into the small, daily disciplines that will help you get there.

[ KEY PRACTICE ] Don’t underestimate the power of small changes over time. Set one attainable intention for the week that will move you closer to your goals. Go to bed half an hour earlier each night, go for a walk each evening after work, read for 20 minutes a day. Then once you have that discipline down, add a new one. Start small, and celebrate the little wins along the way! The changes you make today will fuel the goals you achieve tomorrow. 💪🏻🗓💡📈
