We’re putting bragging rights on the line for the Georgia vs. Auburn showdown! Think you know how this rivalry will end? Guess the final score and the winning team for a chance to win a FAST prize!

Friends and followers. Be safe out there!

⚠ 2 PM CHANGE TO THE FORECAST: The Weather Prediction Center is upgrading eastern metro Atlanta, the Gainesville area, Athens area, Covington area, Eatonton area, far northeast Georgia, and the Lake Hartwell area to a Level 3/4 Flash Flood Risk.

They hit a snag in issuing it because they're doing it at a time when they usually don't. When it updates, it will be the red shaded area in the map.

Today, we pause to remember.

We honor the lives lost on September 11th, 2001. And we stand in awe of the courage shown by first responders; those who ran toward danger, who gave everything, who continue to serve with unwavering dedication.

At FAST, we’re proud to work alongside law enforcement and fire departments every single day. Your bravery inspires us. Your sacrifice humbles us.

We will never forget.

Huge thanks to our friend Gavin Terry with Terry’s Towing for always coming through when our Evidence Technicians need an extra hand!

Two large pieces of equipment were carefully recovered from this loss site and are now headed back to the FAST laboratory for further examination.

Investigations don’t always come in small packages. When they don’t, having the right equipment—and the right people—makes all the difference.

We appreciate Gavin and the Terry’s Towing crew for being a trusted resource for our team and helping us get the job done safely and efficiently!

Throwback Thursday: A little history from the place FAST calls home.

In 1916, Osprey Mill was built on the site where our offices are located today in Porterdale, Georgia.

Porterdale’s mills played a significant role in the production of cotton rope, producing more cotton rope during the early twentieth century than anywhere else in the world. During World War II, the mills supplied most of the rope used by the United States Navy.

More than a century later, we’re proud to work from a place with such a unique history!
