Today I participated in United WE’s Virtual Statewide Kansas Town Hall via Zoom. Several other women have participated across the state in person sharing their thoughts and experiences about important issues. It is vital for our voices to be heard.

Dr. Yazeed’s article and follow-up video shares much about vulnerability, courage, safe spaces, perspectives and more. It is a lot to digest and may require the reader/viewer to “sit in uncomfortableness” to fully appreciate what is being communicated. I took it all in as a woman and found it insightful.

You never forget a fantastic team. (You never forget a bad one either.) This was an AMAZING team at the airport after a successful “Selena ¡VIVE!” concert, held on April 7, 2005 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas with over 70,000 in attendance. It was in remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the singer/songwriter’s untimely death.

Last night, I watched a German drama in European Spanish (Netflix’s term) with subtitles in Spanish. It took place in Paris, so French was peppered throughout the series. I enjoy comparing what I hear to what is written. This time, I could tell that the dubbing was done by a Mexican company and the subtitles somewhere else, perhaps Spain. There is a difference. Really. I realize I’m working the ol’ brain cells. This article mentions the many benefits of .
