I am also stepmom to 2 great kids, 16 and 14. I married my wonderful husband in 2010 after being together for 10 years. I have been providing childcare off and on for over eighteen years, with the past 10 years being all about childcare.

Well, no set news so far. According to the latest email, I'm nearly certain that school start dates will be pushed back to Sept 8th. There is talk of a hybrid schedule for grades 4-12, which puts them working from home 2-3 days a week. They won't be making final decisions until the next school board meeting on Aug 6th.

On another note...Our AC unit went out this past week. We are having a new system installed next week. Obviously, reopening will be pushed back until after that gets accomplished.

Life is insane right now and I'm stumped on how to handle things. I'll try to get an update to everyone by the middle of next week... Thanks for hanging in there with me...

Update time: if I can even call it an update...

Parents of LSR7 have until today to submit the choice for their kiddos for the upcoming school year. And then we wait... I'm hopeful to have some sort of information this week. But I'm still just twiddling my thumbs for now.

I appreciate all my families for being patient and understanding during this unprecedented time. Who knew that Spring Break here would last over 5 months...

I'll post and text as soon as I have concrete information...

Just a quick update:
I am still planning to reopen on August 1st. I am uncertain to what the new regulations will be within home daycares and I do not know how the school year will look for my own children. Once I have definite information about everything, I will discuss any changes that might have to be made. I apologize for not having concrete plans for my daycare families and I apologize that changes might have to be made in short notice. I do promise to forward any information ASAP. Thanks for being understanding during these unprecedented times. I miss you all!!

Tax paperwork is almost ready to send out!! My printer is not working (now or ever...) so I will be emailing the forms to everyone again.

Another snow day tomorrow for LSR7... EEK!

I got out to the store today and most main roads seemed decent (though I drove The Beast...so I may not have felt the craziness...)

Our "circle" is not plowed, nor is my drive/walk way. The street could be troublesome in the morning as many cars didn't make it today and the walk to the house is definitely a trek. Lol...

Hey all...I know that all the schools are closed tomorrow so make sure you stay warm and safe if you have to get out tomorrow for anything...

I also realized that I never updated the page for the dates of closure for the Christmas holiday. I will be closed Mon December 23rd-Fri January 3rd. There are 4 paid holidays in that time frame, but the remainder of the time is my vacation time at no charge.
